A Beginner’s Guide To Clear Aligners
What to expect when starting orthodontic treatment.

Clear aligners have made orthodontic treatment far more discreet. If you are thinking about starting, this is roughly how it goes.
Scan, plan, preview
A 3D scan replaces traditional molds. From it, your orthodontist builds a digital plan and shows you the predicted movement step by step.
Wear time matters
Aligners work when they are worn, usually 20 to 22 hours a day. They come out for meals, brushing and flossing.
Expect some pressure
Each new set feels tight for a day or two. That is normal and a sign the teeth are moving.
Retention keeps the result
Once treatment ends, a retainer holds everything in place. It is the simplest and most important step of all.
