What To Know Before Veneers
A simple guide to the process, planning, and expectations.

Veneers can change the look of a smile in a few visits, but the best results start well before any ceramic is made. Here is what the process usually involves.
It begins with a conversation
Your dentist will ask what you like and dislike about your smile, take photos and scans, and check that your teeth and gums are healthy enough to proceed.
You should see a preview
With digital smile design, the proposed shape can be shown on screen and often tried in your mouth with a temporary material before you commit.
Preparation is usually minimal
A thin layer of enamel is refined so the veneer sits flush. Temporary veneers protect the teeth while the final ones are crafted.
Care is straightforward
Brush, clean between your teeth and attend regular checkups. A night guard may be suggested if you clench or grind.
